ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) -- UPDATE: 19-year-old Sylvester Waiters has been found safe.
Police are searching for a teen from Ansonia who went missing after having an argument with his mother, police said.
Nineteen-year-old Sylvester Waiters, of 48 Francis St., is described as a black male, 5'4" tall, weighing 125 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on March 19th after getting into a dispute with his mom in Stratford.
Police said phone contact was made with Waiters around 2 p.m. by his mother, at which time Waiters mentioned that he wanted his problems to end.
GPS tracking of Waiters phone showed him in the Ansonia area and the Bridgeport area throughout the day.
There has been no further contact with him.
Waiters was last seen wearing a red, white, and blue colored shirt, white baseball cap, and blue jeans.
Police are asking for help in locating Waiters to make sure he is safe and is not a danger to himself. Anyone who sees Waiters is asked to call the Ansonia Police Department at 203-735-1885.
