Waterbury, Conn. (WTNH) - A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Waterbury Wednesday night.
The accident happened around 6:15 p.m., on Hamilton Avenue.
Police said David Maldonado, 29, was struck by Michelle McGee, 20, traveling south on Hamilton Ave., while attempting to cross the intersection of Hamilton and Pearl Lake Rd.
Maldonado was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say he is from Brooklyn, New York and was in Waterbury visiting friends and family.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators collected evidence and reconstructed the crash.
