Pizza delivery man robbed at gunpoint

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- West Haven police say a pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday night.

On Thursday around 9:45 police responded to shorts fired in the area of Elm St. near Third Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male pizza delivery person who said they were robbed as they were walking back to their car after making a delivery.

The victim described the two suspect as black males. The suspects demanded money from the victim, which he gave up right away.

Police said the victim was then punched in the head and had a gun pointed at him, where several shots were fired in his direction.

Both suspects then ran from the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was not injured by the gun shots but was treated and released on the scene for his facial injuries.
