Community speaks out: Meriden stabbing

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A press conference is being held as a direct response to the horrific September 21st stabbing in Meriden.

Witnesses say the two kids who were stabbed were high and looking for a fight, but the parents of those teens aren't buying it.

Ages 13 and 15, one is now dead and the other critically injured. After several days of investigating, police have released a report laying blame for the deadly attack on the boys.

Pastor Dante Moss of Meriden is one of those who believes the stabbing was indeed a cold-blooded murder.

"Look at where the injuries were, they were on the back. You can not stab somebody in the back, kill them, and then say it was their fault," Pastor Moss said.

The press conference was being held at the Apostolic Community Church of Jesus on 142 Center Street in Meriden.

News 8 will have full details on the press conference at 5 and 6 p.m. tonight.
