NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A video that was seized by a New Haven police sergeant after an arrest outside a downtown club has been made public.
The video was posted Tuesday night by the New Haven Independent .
The video shows the arrest of 24-year-old Horace Rawlings on June 2 in Temple Plaza New Haven by Sgt. Chris Rubino.
Rawlings claims he was beaten by police for no reason, and that he did not attack police.
The nearly two-minute long profanity-laced cellphone video, taken by Jennifer Gondola, was taken by Sgt. Rubino as evidence. Gondola had put the phone in her bra.
In the video Sgt. Rubin is heard telling Rawlings "stop resisting," while Gondola says "Why does he have his foot on his head? That's crazy, yo."
The FBI is investigating the incident, and New Haven police have launched an internal investigation into the seizure of Gondola's phone.
