Reports of dead body delays trains

New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) -- Several Amtrak trains have been delayed following an investigation into reports that a pedestrian had been hit and killed.

According to Amtrak PR, Amtrak Police responded to reports of a pedestrian hit, but they did not find a body, or any signs that someone had been hit.  The investigation into the reports caused a few trains to be delayed.

The incident was reported to have happened in in the area of the New Haven and East Haven town line.

Amtrak expects all trains to be back on schedule by Friday morning.
