Elderly missing man found dead in woods

CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) -- The body of a missing Wallingford man was found in Cheshire Thursday afternoon.

The body of 85-year-old William Ohr was found in a wooded area off of Diana Court in Cheshire.

Police say Ohr's car had driven off the road and into a thickly wooded area where it went unnoticed until Thursday afternoon.

Officers say they are handling the incident as a car accident. His body was transported to the Medical Examiner's officer where it will be more closely examined.

Police issued a Silver Alert for Ohr on May 30.
