SOUTHBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Southbury man who survived the deadly movie theater massacre is now resting and recovering at home.

Stephen Barton's mother said that despite his own injuries, he wants to help raise money for the other victims.

Barton was on a cross-country biking trip with his friend when they stopped to see Dark Knight Rises in the Aurora, Colo. theater.

He was hit with shotgun pellets in the neck and arms. His friend, Ethan Rodriguez-Torrent was not injured.
