Oxford, Conn. (WTNH) -- Friends and family attended the funeral for a 15-year-old from Oxford who was killed in a car crash last Friday.
The Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Oxford was packed beyond capacity.
On Friday, March 9, sophomore Brandon Giordano died in a violent crash.
He was a passenger in a car driven by 19-year-old Eric Ramirez. Police say Ramirez was running from police when the car went airborne and plowed into a building.
Classmates were bussed to the church to say goodbye.
Giordano was on the football team and his teammates showed up with their jersey's on.
Giordano wanted to wear a pink tie to a recent football banquet, but he didn't have one, so he planned to wear one next year. Many of his teammates wore pink ties in his honor.
While tears were shed at the funeral, police are still investigating the crash and deciding on charges that will be filed.
A pasta dinner followed the services at Oxford High School. Proceeds will help the family pay for the funeral.
