Teen shot on ATV dies

    New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - A New Haven teen shot in the head while riding on an ATV has died, police said Monday.

    Radcliff Deroche, 18, was shot Sunday afternoon on Dixwell Ave. near West Division Street. Several shots were fired, and Deroche was hit once in the back of the head.

    New Haven police Officer Joe Avery said Deroche "died this morning from the injuries he received in the incident."

    Deroche is the city's eighth homicide victim this year.

    His death comes on the same day the city's new police chief was sworn in.

    Police have not made any arrests, but said Sunday they have several leads in the case.
