Two burned by Special Olympics torch

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people are recovering from second degree burns after a mishap with a Special Olympics torch.
      
Waterbury police tell News 8 the torch runners were in the area of North Elm Street when there was a problem re-lighting the torch and lighter fluid burned two volunteers in the back of the truck that drives ahead of the runners.
      
They suffered second degree burns. A man was treated and released, while a woman was taken to the Bridgeport Burn Center.
