Two rescued fire at Waterbury hotel

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people were rescued from a fire in the elevator room at a Waterbury Marriott hotel.

The fire broke out in the elevator room on the top of the roof at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on 63 Grand Street Tuesday morning.

Firefighters rescued two people, one of which was trapped in an elevator.

There were no serious injuries and nobody was hospitalized.

No smoke or fire damage has been reported.
