MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)-- Milford firefighters responded to a fire at a home on Saturday morning.
Milford officials say the homeowner, at 27 Morehouse Avenue, smelled smoke when he was in the shower. He then said he saw a glow coming from his utility closet and when he opened the door to the closet, there was a fire.
The man attempted to put out the fire with water before calling 911 and going outside his house.
According to the fire department, there were multiple 911 calls from the area because of the heavy smoke.
Firefighters say they responded around 7:25 AM and the fire was out by 7:41 AM.
The fire was in the back and middle of the house.
There were no injuries but the home is uninhabitable. The incident is still under investigation.
