Waterbury firefighters were able to knock out a small fire on Washington Avenue and South Main Street in less than 30 minutes Sunday evening.  The factory were the fire took place is abandoned, and luckily, no one was injured.

Waterbury factory catches fire

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Waterbury firefighters were able to quickly knock out a fire that occurred at an abandoned factory Sunday evening.

According to firefighters, a pile of trash outside the factory caught fire, and began to spread to the sides of the building and part of the roof.  Luckily, crews were able to knock out the fire in less than 30 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire, according to officials. 

The fire remains under investigation.
