The second victim, Sarah Short, 31, of 196 Crown Street, New Haven, was also taken to Yale- New Haven Hospital, where she was evaluated and treated for her injuries. She was listed in serious, but stable condition, with mobility issues, possibly a broken leg.
The third victim, Elizabeth Dernbach, 23, a resident of Florida, was taken to the Hospital of St. Raphael's, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
Following the accident, Ross passed a standard Field Sobriety Test administered by police.
No criminal charges have been filed against Ross.
Police said a forensic investigation into the U-Haul truck and its mechanics, as well as the review of witness' statements is required before the investigation can move towards a conclusion.
