NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) --Three people have been arrested after attacking construction workers at a New London school.
The incident happened at Nathan Hale School on 37 Beech Drive. The New London Police Department Emergency Communication Center received a 9-11 call reporting two construction workers at the school were attacked by a group of three masked males.
The incident had been reported around 4:05 p. m., on April 19.
One of the construction workers suffered multiple wounds to the facial area, the other was able to run and elude the attackers.
A vehicle description was provided, and the suspects were later arrested in Waterford on multiple criminal charges. The Waterford Police Department assisted in the arrest.
The investigation is ongoing. The names of the suspects and victims involved have not yet been released.
"I want to thank Officer Todd Lynch, of the New London Police Department, and K-9 Officer Dan Lane, of the Waterford Police Department for their great work in apprehending the suspects involved in this incident. I also want to thank the Waterford Police Department for their assistance and co-operation in this investigation and apprehension," said Mayor New London Mayor Daryl Finizio.
