NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Pink is the color of the month at The Gallery at Firehouse Square in New London, as many galleries join the fight against breast cancer.
Seven local women artists are being showcased in a special exhibit at the maritime gallery and ten percent of the proceeds are going to the Breast Cancer Center at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
"We tried to go with colorful bright inspiration pieces that will help with the healing process of breast cancer," Emily Ross, the manager at The Gallery at Firehouse Square, said.
This New London Gallery is one of nine going pink this month.
