Bozrah, Conn. (WTNH) - From abandoned and unwanted to being claimed by an entire town, one cat living in Bozrah has certainly moved up in the world.
When folks come into the Bozrah Town Hall they often see Lynne Skinner, the town clerk, sitting at her desk but they also have to look down on the ground because they never know who else might be just around the corner.
Lynne spotted 'Pussy Cat' as she was feeding feral cats behind the town hall. One day Pussy Cat followed her back into the building.
"As it started getting colder we just didn't have the heart to put her outside so I went out and bought her a bed a kitty litter box," Lynne said.
The 19 pound kitty has been making herself at home ever since.
"I'm afraid to leave her outside cause she might lay out in the middle of the parking lot," Lynne said.
And also has been attracting a lot of attention from visitors.
"A lot of people come into the town hall and they go 'wow that's a big cat she's got Maine Coon in her,'" Lynne said.
Lynne just wants the best for her furry friend even if it means her owner comes forward because of all this media exposure.
"If I can find her owner that would make me very happy," she said.
