Catholic school evacuated during fire

BALTIC, Conn. (WTNH) -- Students at a Baltic catholic school were evacuated after a fire broke out there Tuesday.

The incident occurred at Academy of the Holy Family, located at 54 West Main St.

The Academy of the Holy Family is a Catholic day and boarding high school for American and international young women.

Fire officials said there was a fire on the outside of the school Tuesday, between the second and third floors with a small penetration inside.

Those in the school were evacuated to safety.

Officials said the fire was put out and students were allwed to return inside and continue their day.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
