GRISWOLD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Officials have determined the cause of death for a Griswold couple who were killed when their home caught fire Tuesday morning.
The Chief State Medical Examiner's Office says autopsies have determined Wayne and Linda Guyette died from smoke inhalation. Their deaths have been ruled accidental.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Only Houdini, one of the family's dogs , managed to make it out alive when the couple's home on Tatro Road caught fire around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
