UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — A Massachusetts man who state police say was driving a bus that struck and killed a Mohegan Sun casino employee had earlier received driving citations.

The Day of New London reports 38-year-old Lin Qi Si of Braintree had to complete a National Safety Council course to avoid suspension of his license after he was cited on Dec. 6, 2010 for making an improper turn and on Sept. 28, 2011 for speeding and failure to stop.

State police say Pui Ying Li of Queens, New York City, was killed. Authorities say she was trying to cross a street in front of the Mohegan Tribal Public Safety Building Wednesday when she was hit by the bus.

State police haven't filed charges. The investigation was continuing.
