Groton, Conn. (WTNH) - If you live near the sub-base in Groton don't be concerned when the alarms sound this morning -- it's just a drill.

Base officials are conducting a routine emergency response and security drill.

The Navy wants people living nearby to know they'll hear a loud speaker alert system sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 this morning.

Anyone trying to get on the base around those times should expect delays because the gates may close and open at various times.
