Firefighters battle fire in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters were called to a fire on Grand Street in New London Saturday afternoon.
According to firefighters, the fire began in a multi-family home shortly before 4 p.m.
When crews arrived, the fire spread to a two family home next door. Neither of the homes were heavily damaged in the fire, but they were deemed uninhabitable by the fire department.
A firefighter received some burns, but is okay and was able to go home.
The fire remains under investigation.
