COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH)-- People are raising money for a 20-year-old Colchester girl, who had both legs
amputated after a bad car accident in October.
A fundraiser is being held on Sunday from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. at the Troiano Chrysler Jeep Dealership for Melissa Laribee, using "big rigs" to make "big bucks."
People can meet Melissa and her mom, Cindy Laribee, and can expect to see "tricked out trucks" in an auto and truck show.
Local businesses also donated items for a raffle. There will be food at the event and a bounce house for kids.
Melissa's mother hopes that the fundraiser will help Melissa get a new car she can drive, a house, and prosthetics.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
