New London street shut down after leak

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- One building was evacuated in New London after a gas leak.

It happening on Bank Street in the downtown area.

Bank Street was closed while firefighters are on the scene. According to Local 1522's twitter account , firefighters left the area around 10:20 a.m. while workers from Yankee Gas remained on the scene.

There is no word yet of any injuries.
