Man injured by falling rebar

    NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) - A man on a boat at the state pier of New London has been injured by a stack of rebar that fell on him.

    Fire Battalion Chief Henry Kydd tells The Day of New London that the man had been freed by the time fire crews arrived on the scene.

    The man was lowered by a crane to emergency personnel on the pier. Kydd said he apparently suffered an ankle injury.
