NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- It's official. New London is going to be home of the new Coast Guard Museum.
On Thursday, the mayor announced that an agreement has been reached to bring the museum to New London.
It's a project that's been years in the making and the mayor says it will create jobs and boost the local economy.
"This museum will not only be a transformative, educational, and economic development driver for our city and our state, but it will also be a national treasure for our country," said Mayor Daryl Finizio.
