"I think they should have kept them at the marina because like you can actually see it from the parking lot all the way up the street and it's just a beautiful sight," said Tyler Francis of Norwich.

Norwich, Conn. (WTNH) - If you want to see fireworks in Norwich this Fourth of July, you better reserve your seats now because spots are limited.

The fireworks will be held at Dodd Stadium on July 3rd instead of Norwich Harbor, as in years past.

"I think they should have kept them at the marina because like you can actually see it from the parking lot all the way up the street and it's just a beautiful sight," said Tyler Francis of Norwich.

The fireworks were eliminated from the city's budget, but the new team at Dodd Stadium, the Connecticut Tigers, stepped up to to the plate. Other sponsors, like Mohegan Sun, also pitched in.

"It's been a great response and just another way to show that we're more than just baseball," said CJ Knudsen, Connecticut Tigers.

The tickets are free, but each person is limited to six until capacity is reached. You can pick up your tickets at the stadium beginning at 10am on Thursday. Parking will cost $5.
