NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Kelly Middle School in Norwich is getting help in its effort to recover from last week's fire.
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals is donating the $5,000 insurance deductible needed for repairs.
It is also donating 20 laptops, 20 desktops, and seven printers.
Students have been able to return to the classrooms on the first floor of the damaged science wing, which is named after the co-founder of the company Charles Pfizer.
Classrooms on the second floor however remain closed.
"Still trying to get smells out, still trying to remove pieces of the walls, the flooring, whatever's necessary, furniture definitely," said Athena Nagel, business administrator. "To see how much of the smell we can get out. They are deodorizing, they're still cleaning surfaces."
Those six classrooms are not expected to reopen until September.
