NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) - An extensive indoor marijuana growth operation was discovered by police inside a Norwich home following the execution of a search and seizure warrant.
The narcotics related search and seizure warrant was conducted at 49 Sachem Street, Apartment 7. There was also an active arrest warrant held for the occupant, John R, Barry,54.
Marijuana plants in various stages of growth as well as heroin was seized from the residence.
Barry and his wife Michelle Barry were arrested and charged with cultivation and possession of marijuana, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
John is being held on a $300,000 bond and Michelle was released on a $10,000 bond.
Both are due in court on Feb.16.
