MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (AP) - One of Fenway Park's experts is bringing a bit of the field's personality to Connecticut.

David Mellor, grounds director for the Boston Red Sox's home turf, is scheduled to mow their iconic logo into a grassy knoll at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Friday.

The image will measure 100 feet by 60 feet and be created outside the Grand Pequot Tower, a spot that visitors will be able to view from a nearby patio. It's part of celebrations kicking off Red Sox Month in July at the casino, which will also include ticket giveaways and viewings of the World Series trophy.

Mellor has been Fenway's grounds director since 2001. He's also cared for fields at ballparks and stadiums housing the California Angels, San Francisco Giants, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
