MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people ran for safety when flames began to pour from their RV.
The fire started Thursday night at Mystic KOA Campground.
A worker who witnessed the fire said a man and woman ran out of their RV when they discovered that it had somehow caught fire.
"She heard some crackling in the bathroom, and the next thing she knew she saw some flames coming out, so she ran out to her neighbor in the next RV. One of our workers here was able to go over and help, and get the hose and watered it," said Judy Lathrop of Mystic KOA.
The woman who was inside of the RV when the fire started was brought to the hospital to be checked out for possible smoke inhalation.
The couple is now staying in a lodge on the KOA Campground.
Crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
