Shots fired, no one injured

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Shots were fired Saturday night, but no one was injured and police did not locate any witnesses.
 
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police reported hearing gunfire in the area of 163 Huntington Street. Police immediately assigned additional officers to foot patrol the area.
 
An extensive search of the area did not locate any witnesses to the incident, however the crime scene consisted of several spent shell casings from a handgun.
