Along the shoreline those who gave their lives in service to their country were remembered in many Memorial Day services including this one remembering those in the silent service, May 31, 2010.

Also along the shoreline a gathering at Mystic Seaport honoring Decoration Day, established in 1868.  It is what is now known as Memorial Day. may 31, 2010.

Tolling of the boats, Civil War tribute

Groton, Connecticut (WTNH) - There were many events across Connecticut to mark Memorial Day 2010.

A tribute to fallen Civil War soldiers at Mystic Seaport and a tolling of the boats in Groton to remember submariners who gave their lives were two of many.
