Two injured in Ledyard roll over

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH)-- Two people from Ledyard suffered serious injuries after their car rolled over on Friday afternoon.

Police say the accident was a single vehicle rollover on Center Groton Road (RT 117), around 2:25 PM.

The driver David E. Doucette, 65, and the passenger, Betty J. Doucette, 63, were transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

A CL&P support pole and fire hydrant were also damaged as a result of the accident. Rt 117 remained closed for approximately one hour.

The accident is still under investigation.
