Woman found after escaping from court

Montville, Conn. (WTNH) - State Police have tracked down a woman who escaped from custody at New London Superior Court Tuesday afternoon.

Though handcuffed and shackled, 29-year-old Michelle Conklin-Chadwick was able to flee the court from a secure holding room.

She was found shortly after 7pm in a wooded area in East Lyme.

Conklin-Chadwick was in court for a variety of drug and larceny charges. She now faces an escape charge.
