New London (WTNH) - Eight pitbulls seized in a New London drug raid are looking for a new lease on life. The dogs will be euthanized in a few days if no one comes forward to adopt them.
Karen West is leading the crusade to make sure the dogs find good homes.
"We did have one that was aggressive during the bust and he was put down but the others are just really sweet dogs, full blooded Staffordshire Terriers," West said.
The owner of the dogs signed the dogs over to the city of New London. It is the city's pitbull policy to put the dogs to sleep in six days if they are not adopted.
