OLD LYME, Conn. (WTNH) -- Three people were killed in a wrong way crash on I-95 in Old Lyme Tuesday night.
According to police, a wrong way driver caused the accident on the southbound side of the highway around 9:30 p.m..
The northbound side was closed to allow a LifeStar helicopter to land. The helicopter transported the wrong-way driver to the hospital.
The wreck was cleaned up and all lanes were back open by 2:30 a.m.
Police have not yet released the names of the people involved in the crash.
We don't know if any charges will be filed against the wrong way driver.
