New London (AP) - A New London teenager is suing Montville police and a school official for an alleged strip search at a dance two years ago.
Shakimm Curry, 18, says a Montville school official and two police officers falsely imprisoned him and intentionally inflicted emotional distress.
Curry says he was a guest at the homecoming dance at Leonard J. Tyl Middle School in November 2006. He alleges Montville High School Assistant Principal Tatiana Patten and Montville police officers David Rowley and Greg Jacobson targeted him because he is black.
He says no drugs were found during the strip search, but the three people involved continued to accuse him of selling drugs.
Patten and Rowley declined to comment Tuesday night. Jacobson could not be reached.
