Newington (AP) - A 27-year-old man wanted for a fatal shooting in New Jersey has been captured in Connecticut.

Newington police say they nabbed Kemal Albut Jr. on Monday night after officers received information that he was in a motel on the Berlin Turnpike.

Albut was captured without incident at the Carrier Motor Lodge and is being held on $3 million bond pending an extradition hearing.

Paterson, N.J., police say Albut is wanted on charges of murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses. Police say Albut, of Paterson, shot two brothers Friday night. Police say 25-year-old Jaime Bermudez was killed and Bermudez's brother was injured.

Paterson police told The Record of Bergen County, N.J., that they have also arrested a 15-year-old boy in the case.
