Hartford (WTNH) - An electrical accident at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford has killed a construction worker.

It happened around 8 a.m.

Theodore Sergi, President of the Science Center, says the other men on the job site tried valiantly to revive the man.

"His co-workers tried very hard to provide emergency medical assistance, so our thoughts go out to the family," Sergi said.

The Science Center has been under construction for about three years.

"We've had a very good record to date, it's unfortunate," Sergi said.

OSHA has shut down the job site for the day to complete an investigation.

The Science Center is scheduled to open in May.
