In two separate cases of alleged misconduct by Waterbury police, juries have cleared police officers of wrongdoing.
In one of the cases, a jury cleared police officers who raided a home in 2004. The homeowner had claimed police didn't have a warrant when they busted down his door.
Police say 60-year-old William Kaytis had threatened to kill his neighbors. After obtaining a search warrant, police seized more than 100 firearms from the home.
Another jury has cleared 11-year-old veteran Officer Steven Saucier of claims he used excessive force during an arrest of a pregnant woman in 2004.
Nicole Sarandrea claimed Saucier ripped her cell phone out of her hand then forced her to the ground.
