Award-winning newsman Don Lark joined News 8 as weekend co-anchor in March of 2011.
Connecticut viewers will recognize Lark from his stint as anchor for WFSB-TV in Connecticut in the 1980's and early 90's. Most recently Lark was at WSTM-TV in Syracuse, New York, where he anchored four evening newscasts.
Lark also worked as a reporter at WPIX-TV in New York City, reporter and anchor at WJBK-TV and WXYZ-TV in Detroit, and was a news anchor at WZZM-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In his career Lark has won awards from the Associated Press, the Detroit Press Club, and an Emmy Award.
He has a bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Detroit.
While in Syracuse Lark traveled to Bosnia and Kosovo as producer/reporter of ten-part news series and 30 minute special. Lark also helped raise $1.5 million as a fundraiser for Casey's Place, a respite home for families of children with multiple disabilities.
