Nneka Nwosu

Nneka Nwosu joined News 8 as a reporter in January of 2013. She came to Connecticut just in time to cover the record-breaking blizzard of 2013.

Before joining News 8, Nneka was a reporter and anchor at WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for News 10 Now (now YNN) in Syracuse, New York. Nneka has also been a writer and producer for BET News.

Nneka has degrees from Princeton University and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Her thesis documentary at Columbia won the school’s award for outstanding local reporting. She even began her journalism career in a noteworthy way-- as an intern for the late Peter Jennings.

Nneka is first generation American and grew up near Philadelphia. She enjoys spending time with family (including her five siblings) and is an avid runner.
