Steve Villanueva

Steve Villanueva left News 8 in January of 2012 after a little more than a year for WPIX-TV in New York.

Steve Villanueva joined News 8 and Storm Team 8 in December of 2010.

Steve comes to News 8 by way of WRC-TV, the NBC station in Washington, D.C., where he was the weekend meteorologist there from 2006 until late last year. Steve then moved to Fairfield County with his wife, who is an executive with a Wall Street firm.

Before working at WRC-TV, Steve was at WWOR-TV and WNYW-TV, where he was on the air as a weekend meteorologist from 2002 to 2006.

He is a graduate of New York University and completed the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology program. He holds seals of approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.

He is bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
