Ted Koppy

Ted Koppy served as an anchor and general assignment reporter for News 8 from October 2004 until April of 2011.

Prior to joining News 8, Ted was in Phoenix, Arizona, where he anchored KPHO’s morning and noon newscasts. Before KPHO, Ted also worked as an anchor/reporter at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, WHEC-TV in Rochester, New York, and KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

While in Pennsylvania and New York, Ted received Associated Press awards for “Best Spot News Coverage” and “Best Feature Story”; he was also the recipient of the NPPA Northeast Region award for “Best Feature Story.”

Ted earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University in 1989.

Ted is married and has two daughters.
