Ted Koppy joined News Channel 8 in October 2004. He currently co-anchors News Channel 8 at 6:00 and News Channel 8 at 11.
Ted returned to the East coast from Phoenix, Arizona, where he anchored KPHO’s morning and noon newscasts. Before KPHO, Ted also worked as an anchor/reporter at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, WHEC-TV in Rochester, New York, and KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
While in Pennsylvania and New York, Ted received Associated Press awards for “Best Spot News Coverage” and “Best Feature Story”; he was also the recipient of the NPPA Northeast Region award for “Best Feature Story.”
Ted earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University in 1989.
Ted is married and has two daughters.
