(WTNH) - The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is issuing a warning to Facebook users because criminals may use the popular networking site to steal your identity.

BBB says Facebook users may get an e-mail from a friend that says they are in trouble and need money wired to them. Another scam involves sending users a message from a friend telling them to check out a video of themselves on another web site. Clicking on the link can download a virus to your computer.

The BBB says to be wary of messages sent from another web site, keep personal information off the web and be selective when accepting friend invitations.
