Water supplies for two schools in Madison are still tainted with high levels of uranium, the school superintendent reported today.
Back in November, high uranium levels were detected at Brown Middle School and Ryerson Elementary School.
New test results reveal that the uranium levels have not changed.
Tests were also conducted to see if additional contaminants, like radon and radium, were present. Those tests do not exceed applicable standards.
The schools have been using bottled water for drinking and cooking and will continue to do so.
Read the Centers for Disease Control fact sheet on uranium.
