Woman accused of bringing baby to bar

Middletown (WTNH) - A Durham woman has been arrested after she allegedly brought her three week old daughter into a bar and then went to a friend's house and breast fed the baby while she was intoxicated.

Police say Allanah Earley went to a bar with her baby and became "extremely intoxicated." She then began to wander around Middletown in the cold with daughter, police said.

Earley then proceeded to a friend's house on High Street and continued drinking. While she was drinking alcohol at her friend's house, she began to breast feed the child.

When police arrived to investigate, they found Earley was barely able to stand upright and was slurring her words. She admitted to police that she brought the baby to the bar and had about seven drinks.

Police have not identified the bar where she was served.

DCF was notified of the incident and Earley has been charged with risk of injury to a minor.
