What could be more innocent than a baby doll? But some say one doll on store shelves has a hidden message.

The dolls are causing quite a stir on the Internet and there's even an effort to get them off the shelves. But the company says it is confident in the product so News Channel 8 decided to run our own talking toy test.

Vince Libergi was willing to take the baby talk test. He put his ear to the toy and listened.

"First it sounded like mama and then I couldn't quite make it out. Sounded like she was saying something," Vince said.

The Fisher Price Little Mommy Real Loving Baby Cuddle & Coo Doll is supposed to make baby noises - like gurgles and giggles. Some people think amid the babbling they here the doll say "Islam is the light" and "Satan is king."

"I heard mama then something that I felt had some syllables but I couldn't put it together," said Rosa Taulty from West Haven.

"I heard something. It said something about downtown," said Darris Snow from New Haven.

After telling them about the claim the doll says "Islam is the light," they listened again.

"That's very clear. Islam is the light," Vince said.

"Yeah, yeah it said Islam is the light," Darris agreed.

Mattel says it is the power of suggestion and in a statement adds, "The only scripted word the doll says is mama and when played through an inexpensive toy speaker, actual sounds may be imprecise or distorted."
